A Unique Constellation
Airbus Defence and Space is the only company in the industry to guarantee access by operating both radar and optical satellites.
Our service continuity is guaranteed until 2024 and beyond.
Pléiades is an optical satellite constellation providing very high-resolution products (50cm) with a 20km swath.
Both the space and the ground segment have been designed to provide information in record time, offering daily revisit capacity to any point on the globe and outstanding acquisition capabilities to meet the full spectrum of civil and military requirements.
The Pléiades constellation is the right answer to extract accurate information and bring powerful insight to make informed decisions.
Vision-1 provides <1m high-resolution imagery with full end-to-end mission operation services. Vision-1 is capable of acquiring multispectral imagery at 3.5m resolution and panchromatic imagery at 0.9m.
Vision-1 data further enhances our constellation monitoring capabilities and is particularly suited for defence, security, maritime and agriculture applications.
Vision-1 was launched with NovaSAR in 2018 creating the first, true OptiSAR constellation.
The SPOT imagery products offer high resolution over broad areas using the SPOT satellites: SPOT 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (archive only) and 6/7.
A SPOT satellite acquisition covers large areas in a single pass at resolutions up to 1.5m. Such precise coverage is ideal for applications at national and regional scales from 1:250,000 to 1:15,000.
The SPOT archive contains more than 100 billion square kilometres acquired since 1986, a unique database for temporal evolution monitoring. The SPOT satellites can also be tasked in a reactive manner to meet your time and space requirements.
SPOT key features:
-
Stereo and tristereo capacity
-
Ideal for 1:25,000 topographic mapping: Feature extraction (2D & 3D stereo plotting, geometric accuracy down to 1.2m CE90, elevation and contour lines)
-
Daily revisit anywhere by SPOT 6 or SPOT 7
-
Maximum acquisition capacity of 3 Million km² per day per satellite
Our Radar satellites acquire datasets ranging from very high-resolution to wide area coverage. Data is acquired independent of weather conditions.
After the successful launch of HisdeSAT’s X-band SAR satellite PAZ (a TerraSAR-X/TanDEM-X clone), the newly build Radar Constellation provides an increased acquisition capacity as well as an improved global mean revisit time (~ daily revisit) and a significantly reduced interferometric repeat cycle (4 days / 7 days), supporting data-hungry, high monitoring frequency applications.
The Radar Constellation builds the reliable basis for a broad services & applications portfolio, benefitting from its accurate measurement, reliable monitoring and Near-Real-Time product capabilities.
Our Radar Constellation key features:
-
Imagery of varying modes with a flexible spatial resolution (from 25cm to 40m) and footprint
-
Geometric accuracy unrivalled by any other commercial spaceborne sensor today
-
Excellent radiometric accuracy • Weather-independent site access to any point on Earth
-
Unique agility (rapid switches between imaging modes and polarisations)
The DMC Constellation provides rapid repeat coverage of the largest countries, regions and even continents. The DMC Constellation is capable of acquiring multispectral imagery at 22-24m resolution and panchromatic imagery at 12m. Image size is adjustable up to very large images (i.e. 640 x 1,300km).
Access to the DMC Constellation data supports our users in the development of applications and services across various markets such as wide-area change detection, forestry, agriculture, disaster management, land cover mapping and environmental monitoring.
The DMC Constellation offers multiple options for new imagery tasking through the “OneTasking” offer, as well as an extensive imagery archive going back to 2004.
Alsat-1B and KazSTSAT joined the DMC Constellation in 2019 to ensure continuity of the mission, and brings additional spectral bands and enhanced coverage frequency to the constellation.
Our DMC Constellation key features:
-
Rapid coverage of large areas
-
Very frequent revisit worldwide (1-2 days)
-
Adjustable image size with option for wide swath and very large images (i.e. 640 x 1,300km)
-
Large daily collection capacity (>10,000,000km²/day)
-
Optimised image acquisition around cloud cover
-
Cross-calibrated satellites
-
Seamless compatibility with Landsat ETM+
