This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for: Pléiades Neo has delivered its first images a few days after being orbited! Take a look at this impressive and diverse selection of Pléiades Neo first acquisitions at 30cm native resolution.
The Second Pléiades Neo Satellite has Delivered its First Images!
Discover this outstanding first set of 30cm native resolution imagery, captured with a 48° viewing angle over of the picturesque Arcachon Bay area, France.
Take a closer look at the Dune du Pilat, Europe’s tallest sand dune, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and the Banc d’Arguin nature reserve to the West. To the East, a dense pine forest stretches around the dune, creating an impressive contrast in colour between sand and forest.
As a popular paragliding destination in Europe, paragliders use the optimal wind conditions and height of the dune to launch in the air and marvel at the views.
Can you spot the paragliders in the imagery?
To commemorate European Citizens Initiative Day (ECI), Pléiades Neo recounts part of the history of the European Union.

The Boneyard contains roughly 5,000 retired military aircraft including planes, jets, helicopters and space shuttles. The military aircraft are stored here as the dry, desert conditions reduce corrosion of the planes’ metal and allow the aircraft to be naturally preserved for reuse.
