Tuscon Images

Pléiades Neo captures Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, the world’s largest military boneyard located in Tucson, Arizona. The Boneyard contains roughly 5,000 retired military aircraft including planes, jets, helicopters and space shuttles. The military aircraft are stored here as the dry, desert conditions reduce corrosion of the planes’ metal and allow the aircraft to be naturally preserved for reuse.
