Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development - conference in Nairobi

The Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD) was established in Nairobi, Kenya in 1975 and is an inter-governmental organization and currently has 20 contracting Member States in the Eastern and Southern Africa Regions. It is the centre of excellence in the provision of geo-information for sustainable development in Eastern Africa.

Considering the growth of geospatial communities over the Horn of Africa, RCMRD organized a first conference in Nairobi to exchange experience on the application of Earth Observation and Geospatial Technologies.

During 3 days (Sept 27th-29th), several government representatives, students, policy makers and opinion leaders visited the Airbus Intelligence booth. All discussions and exchanges confirmed interest in Intelligence agricultural services and Land Administration capabilities.
