User Forum Session Ideas

As announced in the previous Newsletter, this year’s SAFEcommand User Forum will be held on the 3rd and 4th of November at St James Park in Newcastle, again in conjunction with the B-APCO event taking place on the 4th and 5th at the same venue.

We are always looking for ways to improve this forum and find ways for you to get as much out of it as possible.  As usual we will be showcasing the latest developments in the SAFEcommand product suite but we would like to hear more from you.  We want to have more breakout sessions, or workshops, where we can have more of a conversation rather than just presentations.  We also want to make sure we have a good ratio of customer presentations interspersed with our own.

Last year on Day 2 in the Hydrant workshop, Greg Edwards from Bucks Fire led a session before we moved onto discussing requirements for the SAFEcommand software.  This session focused on Hydrant management but not specifically the Hydrant Management System.  We thought this session worked very well and the feedback we received on it has been excellent.  We would like to try and repeat this format in other areas.

Please let us know your thoughts on this, for example, have you got any ideas for different types of session we could do on either day at the Forum?  Is there any specific topic you would find it useful to have a workshop on where you can talk to your counterparts at other Fire Services?  It doesn’t necessarily have to relate specifically to SAFEcommand software, we will be happy to facilitate workshops if you think they will be beneficial for the other attendees.

If you have any suggestions for topics you would like to see us cover, changes to the format, or if you would like to lead a session or present something then please get in touch with us.
