The Turuépano National Park, located in the North-East of Venezuela, extends over delta and marine swamplands in what is known as the Turuépano-Guariquén Delta System.. It covers an area of almost 73 ha and consists mostly of mangroves, swamp forests and peatlands. The park protects one of the most extensive and best conserved mangrove systems in Venezuela.
