New TerraSAR-X Wide ScanSAR New TerraSAR-X Staring SpotLight
This mode has been optimized for maritime monitoring applications: covering areas of up to 400,000 km² in one single pass at a 40 m resolution, this new mode supports the continuous weather & daylight-independent monitoring of vessel traffic, sea ice conditions, oil pollution, wind & wave measurements, etc. The Staring SpotLight Mode offers SAR imagery with down to 25 cm resolution. This new mode opens up a new era in commercial SAR-based image intelligence and provides outstanding potential for weather-independent object detection and even identification.
